Obama recently announced large cuts to NASA's budget that all but guarantee the US will fall behind China and Russia in space and missile technology. In general I am a strong supporter of reduced government spending, but given what else our President is spending on this seems misguided.

Again the admin doing something with out careful thought. Why not extend the shuttle program untio a good replacement is ready? As they say in the article do we really want to let russia and china get ahead of us in space, I would hope not. The space program is a core for defense and technology and should continue.
